Independent Living is ideal for seniors who are looking for companionship and freedom from housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and preparing meals. The larger apartment style communities have a “hotel” feel.

 

They customarily have a community dining room, with wait staff to take orders. They also have a beauty salon, vans or buses for transportation, and community areas such as library, TV room, gym, medical clinic, etc. Apartments vary in sizes from studios to two bedroom, two bath designs.

This type of community also offers the option of emergency call button in all of the rooms.

 

Independent Living is great for seniors who are on the go and are able to live on their own, but enjoy the shared dining experience and relief from the upkeep of a home or apartment.
